Make synthetic DNA do our bidding.

The overarching goal of of the group is to leverage the architectural and biophysical attributes of oligonucleotides as effective means to facilitate and augment abilities of materials in the nanoscale. We also address fundamental biochemical challenges in the delivery of nucleic acid payloads to mammalian cells. Through these research programs, students are trained in nanotechnology, nucleic acid chemistries, and biochemical analytical tools to develop into the next generation of STEM researchers.

Current research endeavors in the lab can be divided into three broad interests (below). Click on each to learn more.
